We’ve also added Olea europaea leaf extract and Panicum miliaceum seed extract, which work to smooth the skin and shield it from environmental damage.
Dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzamide diacetate
Dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzamide diacetate is a neuropeptide developed to mimic Waglerin-1, a compound which is found in temple viper snake venom. This skin-conditioning agent has a molecular weight below 500 Da, which means that it's small enough to easily penetrate through the skin.
Known to encourage youthful, radiant skin, this neuropeptide works by blocking the body’s uptake of Na+, which helps to smooth deep lines and relax facial muscle contractions.
Olea europaea leaf extract
Olea europaea leaf extract is obtained from the leaves of the olive tree (also known as Olea europaea) found in Africa, Asia, and the Mediterranean. This extract is a natural emollient that works to hydrate the skin and keep it well-guarded from weather and other harmful factors. When used in topical products such as our CBD Anti-ageing cream, Olea europaea leaf extract has been evidenced to reduce redness and keep the skin supple.
Panicum miliaceum seed extract
Panicum miliaceum seed extract is derived from the seeds of millet, a small type of seed-bearing grass. While native to Asia and Africa, millet is widely grown across the world.
Millet seed extract is a protective agent which works to reinforce the skin’s natural barrier. In turn, this is able to boost your skin’s defences against environmental harm, including bacteria, dirt, and toxins.
Due to its high concentration of amino acids, millet seed extract can be particularly useful in helping to rejuvenate dull, dry skin, as well as in reducing blemishes and dark spots which occur through ageing.
